The Better2Know Instant Four Screen comprises testing for four sexually transmitted infections, providing fast results within 30 minutes after sample collection. The screen is suitable for those that have achieved at least 28 days of incubation, that is, a minimum of four weeks since any potential exposure.

Which STIs are tested for?

  • HIV I/II and the p24 antigen
  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhoea
  • Syphilis

Which samples are needed?

The Instant Four Screen requires blood and swab samples. You can add Instant testing for both Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C if you would like. Your swab samples will be used to look for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea infections, while the blood samples, taken from a finger prick lancet, will detect HIV and Syphilis. This screen is, therefore, ideal for those who do not like needles.

How will I get my results?

The results for your Instant Four Screen will be handed to you within half an hour of providing your sample. You will also receive a Rapid Test Results Report from the clinician at your appointment.

What if I test positive?

If your test is reactive for one or more of the STIs included in this screen, Better2Know will help you access the treatment and support you need. Your Better2Know doctor will provide you with an immediate prescription if your Instant Four Screen shows a reactive result for Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea.

Patients with reactive HIV or Syphilis results will have the option of providing a venous blood sample for further confirmatory testing – all for no extra cost. We also have a network of experienced doctors based throughout the region, providing telephone or face-to-face consultations if required. You may, instead, decide to take your test results to your personal doctor.
