The Better2Know Instant Six Screen
The Better2Know Instant Six Screen provides rapid test results for six STIs. This screen is suitable for people who have achieved at least four weeks of incubation, which is the time between the incident you are concerned about and getting tested. This is our most comprehensive Instant screen and is designed and reviewed by a panel of sexual health specialists to give you complete peace of mind.
Which STIs does this screen test for?
- Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis C
Which samples will be used?
The Instant Six Screen uses both blood and swab samples to detect infection. The blood samples, collected using a finger prick lancet, look for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. The swab samples are used to detect Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea infections. There are no fasting requirements associated with this screen.
How will I receive my results?
You will receive your Instant Six Screen results within half an hour of providing your samples, before you leave the clinic. You will also be given a Rapid Test Results Report by the Better2Know doctor present at your appointment.
What if I test positive?
Should you receive a reactive result for any of the STIs included in the Instant Six Screen, Better2Know will assist you in accessing the medical advice, treatment or support that is right for you. You will receive a prescription for Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea medication if your screen is reactive for either of those infections. For reactive HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C results, we will schedule further, confirmatory testing at no additional cost. We can also arrange private consultations with one of our many doctors in the Middle East, or you may decide to take your results to your personal doctor or clinician.
