The Better2Know Platinum Screen is our most comprehensive set of tests for sexually transmitted infections and diseases. This screen is suitable for anyone who has had a new sexual experience or is considering entering a new relationship with someone. It is always a good idea to get a comprehensive set of tests to make certain that you are not carrying any infections and that you are not going to pass any infection on to a new partner.
It is also a suitable choice for anyone who has had a sexual experience with a new partner. As most STIs and STDs do not show any symptoms, it is often impossible to know if your partner has any infection or if that infection has been passed on to you. The only way to know and to be certain is to get tested. The Better2Know Platinum screen is an excellent choice of tests and will give you the confidence that you are fully aware of your sexual health.
The Early Platinum Screen, meanwhile, includes testing for the same array of infections as the Platinum Screen, but with half the period of incubation. This means that you can test for the same STIs just 14 days after an incident of concern. This popular testing option uses blood and urine samples to give you complete peace of mind over your sexual health status.
Which STIs are tested for?
Our Platinum Screens test for the following STIs:
- Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis C
- Herpes I/II
What samples are needed?
A blood and urine sample is required for the both screens. There are no painful or embarrassing swabs required. There is no need to fast before your appointment, and you will need to make sure you can produce a urine sample during your appointment.
How will I get my results?
All of your results are available online. We will set up a secure account which only you have access to. Your results will be uploaded as they come in. We will notify you when they are all back by email or SMS.
What if I test positive?
Do not worry. Most STIs can be cured with the right medication. We will help you access treatment quickly and discreetly. We can help you to speak to a doctor if you would like. In some cases where it may be required, we can also refer you to a specialist for ongoing support.
