Our Comfort Screen is a urine-only test. Our medical team have suggested this screen for people who want to test for STIs but are afraid of needles or do not like giving blood. It is also suitable if you are uncomfortable or itchy in your genital area.
Which STIs are tested for?
Our Comfort Screen tests for:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhoea
- Herpes I/II (Current Infection)
- Ureaplasma
- Mycoplasma
- Trichomonas
There are currently no other STIs which can be reliably tested for with urine. You can add tests for any other STIs of concern to this screen at our reduced bolt-on rate, but these will require additional samples.
How will I get my results?
Your results will be available in your secure online Patient Area which you can access at any time. We will contact you by your preferred method when all your results are ready to view. If you do not want to be called, please let our booking team know. We can also send you an email or SMS, or you can call us when it is convenient for you to do so.
What if I test positive?
Your Better2Know doctor will help you with the next steps. A doctor's consultation is included in your screen (when your sample is collected or when your results are back), and your doctor will help you to get any medication that you need.
