Throughout the Middle East, Better2Know provides an extensive range of private sexual health testing services. As well as confidential testing for individual infections, we also offer a selection of STI screens in countries like Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
Better2Know provides a wide range of screening options. Our screens test for different combinations of STIs using blood, swab and/or urine samples. Our screens have been carefully put together by a panel of medical specialists. We will ensure that you get the right tests for your personal circumstances.
The Comfort Screen is ideal for anyone who is experiencing pain or itchiness in their genital area. The Peace of Mind Screen tests for three common yet harmful infections: Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea and Syphilis. Furthermore, the Blemish Screen is suitable if you have a bump, lesion or blemish which may be caused by an STI.
We also offer the Early Detection Screen which looks for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV infections at just ten days after an incident of concern. The Full Screen tests for seven harmful STIs: Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, HIV, Hepatitis B, Herpes, Syphilis, Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma.
As well as these testing options, Better2Know provides three other health screens, two of which are exclusive to patients in the Middle East:
Our Silver Screen will detect six infections, including Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma. This bespoke screen requires respective blood and urine samples. Your results will be available within one to five working days of your samples’ arrival at our accredited laboratory.
Correspondingly, Better2Know’s Gold Screen includes testing for the same selection of STIs, with the addition of Trichomonas, Herpes I/II and Hepatitis C. Each test stipulates a minimum period of incubation. This is the length of time between potential exposure and testing. For the Gold and Silver Screens, this stands at 28 days – at least four weeks after the initial incident of concern.
Sexual health regulations in the Middle East can prove somewhat complex, particularly when it comes to HIV. Our discreet testing services are performed in concurrence with local legislation. In certain Arab nations, HIV test results need to be reported to the relevant governing bodies.
With this in mind, we deliberately exclude HIV testing from our Gold and Silver Screens. This is to minimise the risk of any immediate complications with state authorities. That said, if HIV is a concern for you, it is extremely important that you get tested. Remember, it is always Better2Know.
The Platinum Screen is our most comprehensive option. This screen tests for both types of HIV, as well as all the STIs included in the Gold Screen. The incubation period for the Platinum Screen is also set at 28 days. However, there is a much swifter option for those patients who would like to be tested sooner.
The Early Platinum Screen tests for the same array of infections as the Platinum Profile, at just half the period of incubation – 14 days, to be precise.
